Founded in 2023, Storm Marine Group was formed to meet the demand for high-quality institutional products that fulfill the requirements of Yacht Clubs, Sailing Centers, Universities and individuals. Our experienced team of professionals are dedicated to ensuring that our products are safe, stable, durable and low maintenance. Most importantly, we aim to deliver an exceptional sailing experience.
Our new "Storm 18" is a lifting keel sloop that comfortably accommodates 2-3 adults in a safe and secure cockpit. The 18' has easy and controllable sailing characteristics yet it provides a stable platform that is versatile enough to be used for learn to sail participants, junior sailors, family racing, interclub racing, (fleet racing, team racing, and match racing). We have developed this highly durable, stylish and modern boat to be easily maintained by institutional staff. There is a small range of upgrades available should anyone wish to personalize their fleet. We are also working on developing a set of options that will allow the platform to be used in adaptive sailing.
At Storm Marine Group, our mission is to provide our customers with the best possible institutional boating experience. We strive to exceed our customers' expectations by providing exceptional quality products, a safe and enjoyable boating environment and outstanding service.

We will be following in the footsteps of the Laser Class with no modifications allowed in the pursuit of equality in racing. We are also working on a set of modifications that will allow the platform to be used in adaptive sailing.
The Storm Marine Group is proud to share our new entry into the recreational sailing market!
The Storm 18 has been designed to meet the needs of Yacht Clubs, Community Sailing Centers, Sailing Schools, Colleges, and other sailing institutions.
Every consideration for a wide range of sailors has been addressed:
Easy to sail, large balanced rudder to provide extra maneuverability, long corded keel to provide quick acceleration without too much side slippage, bulbed keel for increased stability, a large sail plan to improve light air performance, two types of spinnakers to allow different types of learning, sailing and racing, a single reef point in the types of learning, sailing and racing, a single reef point in the mainsail to insure the boat can be sailed in fresh conditions, and a bespoke spar that is tailored to the hull and sail plan.
A well thought out design, the Storm 18 is not only ideal for new sailors, it offers performance and nimbleness that seasoned sailors will adore and appreciate, in all aspects of sailing and racing.
To ensure low maintenance and high durability, we have worked with club personnel, sailing directors, and coaches in an effort to keep every component simple and robust.
We fully understand that institutional use requires a new set of parameters.
